On Saturday, redshirt junior Ben Hallock won the 2020 Peter J. Cutino Award for the second consecutive season. The award is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate water polo player.
Redshirt freshman Shane Griffith continues to garner accolades following his impressive first season wrestling with Stanford. Griffith was named the Amateur Wrestling News Rookie of the Year on Tuesday.

Former Stanford and Chicago Bears tight end Ryan Wetnight passed away last Friday after a long battle with cancer. He was 49 years old. Playing for the Cardinal for two seasons in 1991 and 1992, the Fresno, California, native caught 27 passes for 402 yards and one touchdown.
Stanford senior Emily Delleman, junior Maria Kent and sophomore Kelsey McGinley were among the 41 collegiate women selected for the women’s openweight U23 national team camp in Iowa City.
Three Cardinal men were honored last week with invitations to USRowing’s under-23 national team selection camp. Junior Nikita Lilichenko and sophomores Peter Chatain and James Wright were among the 24 collegiate athletes selected for the men’s openweight camp.
Though the men’s volleyball team only went 6-11 (2-4 MPSF) in a shortened season, junior opposite hitter Jaylen Jasper was awarded honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the third straight season.
For the seventh straight season, Stanford women’s golf was awarded multiple All-American honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. Sophomore Aline Krauter and freshman Angelina Ye were each recognized with second-team All-American selections on Tuesday.
